Understanding How to Get Connected...

The Rabbi's and Sages have debated over the years about the best course of action for staying connected to God. Absence from God is absence from the Light. While we could never give their thoughts, observations and practices due justice in a short article like this, we can gather three main concepts from their teachings.

1st) Attachment. Through sacred and spiritual practices, like prayer, scripture reading and contemplative meditation (to name a few) we can increase our connection to the Light. This Light is the same Light that we see in the Creation Story. Your connection to God is critical to the development of your spiritual walk on the Path.

2nd) Revelation. The connection you maintain will bring fresh communication between you and God. These "revelations" will be spiritual insights into your life. They will give you the knowledge and direction you need to fulfill your destiny and find your path. But revelation alone will not fulfill your desire and thirst for right-living.

3rd) Enlightenment. Once God has spoken to your heart and revealed an opportunity for the Light tom increase in your life, it takes the spiritual tool of enlightenment to properly handle the revelation. Many people receive from God, but let it pass by them because they have not been trained to recognize it. This is where Enlightenment can help. The best way to utilize the gift of Enlightenment is to receive training from a spiritual leader, your Pastor, Rabbi or Youth Director.

Our goal in life is fulfillment. We gain fulfillment through our interaction with our desires. God has given us the desires to please Him and give Him glory, which will bring us the highest level of fulfillment.

We can experience the true design of our life through submission to His direction.

Restoring Grace-News and Views

Greetings Friends, Family and Students,

September is soon on us all and I pray that you all have committed to your studies this coming school season. I have been working hard through the summer and plan to soon announce my online class offering, “Early Christianities: The Battle for the Proto-Orthodoxy”. There is a sample online lecture available under the Early Christianity tab at www.restoringgrace.com.

Blogtalkradio has been moving along and I have been trying to develop the best possible show offerings for the listening base. I am currently offering Christianity in Crisis, which will cover current news, views and challenges facing Christianity today. The next show is the Early Christianity show, which handles the first 300 years of the Christian faith and its growth. So far, this is the most listened to show. The final edition, which is a new segment, is called Restoring Grace-Ministry of the Move. This edition will focus on Christian ministries, churches and para-church operations and provide an opportunity for their leaders to speak about the ministry, what it does and address any needs that the listening public could get involved in. If you know a ministry that would benefit from this show, have them e-mail me for consideration.

Coming up is four great shows, starting tonight with a live remote from Abokah Hookah in Colorado Springs. I will be addressing the subject of “Why Study Jesus?” The show starts at 9PM MST and 8PM on the West Coast.

Thursday evening at 9PM MST (August 27th) I will be interviewing Pastor Ike Riddle and Rabbi Yosef Hilbrant on how to improve Jewish/Christian relations. These two men were part of history a few years ago when they signed a resolution document to begin to develop peace between the faith groups.

Next Tuesday (September 1st) at 9PM MST I will have Ameal Haddad coming on the show to discuss his international project “Religious Rights Resolution”. His operation is winning international acclaim by sitting down with religious leaders from all faith groups and placing this vital resolution in front of them.

Lastly, on September 3rd, at 9PM MST I will have the director of Mission Medical Clinic in Colorado Springs. This clinic provides either free or minimal health care for underprivileged folks here in Colorado Springs area. This is a volunteer effort and has Christians from all over working for it. I will be visiting the facility tonight.

Thanks for reading and I hope to see you on the airwaves…

David
